A Homeowners Association (HOA) is typically a corporation specified as a not-for-profit organization, established by a community. The Association is made up of all homeowners within the community and is managed by a Board of Directors.
The Association establishes and subsequently enforces rules regarding what is and is not acceptable for community standards as well as designates how money is spent on commonly owned property.
The overall objective of the HOA is to protect the rights of all in the community. Pursuant to 7A-38.3F, association members may initiate voluntary mediation in an effort to resolve a dispute with the association. Please note that the dispute cannot be related to assessments and both parties must agree to participate in the mediation.
The Kendrick Farm HOA Board of Directors is an elected group of residential members that are charged with making decisions that are in the best interest of the community as a whole. Up until May 2012 the Board had 5 seats with two held by residents, and the other three held by Provident Development Company. As of our first election held in May 2012, there were 3 residential seats and the developer was no longer on the Board. At the second election held May 2013, the number of board seats was increased to 5, all held by residents.
The current 2024/2025 Board consists of the following 5 members: Beth Turnabe-President, Nick Rowland - Vice President, Janel Larter-Secretary/Treasurer, Sam Robinson, and Dionna Graham.
Any matters that need Board review should be placed in writing and emailed to kendrickfarm5@yahoo.com so they can be properly documented and considered. Please contact the management company for all questions regarding homeowner accounts, pool fobs, violations, and maintenance reports.
The Board of Directors meets regularly and would like to make available during any meeting, a time to address concerns that homeowners would like to discuss in person. If you wish to speak at a board meeting to offer a suggestion or address a concern, please contact the management company to request this opportunity. They will provide you the next scheduled board meeting date, time, and location. Please understand, you must contact the management company in advance to be entered on the agenda for the evening.
